We had a few days to do a project of our choice. I chose to draw something and then scan it into the computer to trace and edit it. I used the live trace function on illustrator to make a cool digital design. some of the detail from the drawing was lost in translation but it looks cool any way so I am happy with the results. Had i had more time fore the assignment I may have added more detail digitally.

iScale: Scale refers to the size of an object in relationship to another object.
Proportion: Proportion refers to the relative size of parts of a whole. (https://www.sophia.org/tutorials/design-in-art-scale-and-proportion) Foreground: Parts of an image that appears closest, at the bottom of the page objects are usually largest in scale. Middleground: In the middle of the image objects appear mid sized. Background: Is farthest back n the image. Objects are smallest in scale and appear farthest away. While doing this mini project I found the magnetic lasso tool very useful as well as the controls C,V, and T commands. |

In this project we took pictures of the letters of our names(or in my case, part of my name) from the world around us and made name tags. We started by taking the pictures. Then we used Photoshop and Illustrator to edit the photos and write our name with them. I struggled because I didn't really have any background on either of those programs so, i didn't end up finishing. It was however a good learning experience.
