Why I transferred to Animas High School I have so much opportunity to be creative at Animas. Having that outlet in school is so important to me because my creative process and academic process are deeply intertwined. Incorporating art in projects helps me connect to and remember the content.
Also, I can incorporate climbing into my scheduled. Taking climbing as an x-block(PE class) allows me to show my passion at school. It is really cool that at Animas there is a climbing community that I can be a part of. I find that I fit into a smaller more tight knit community. At Animas I am able to create meaningful connections with my teachers and peers. Senior Pictures |
About Me:WHAT DO I VALUE?
Connection: with my family, friends, and whatever communities I am a part of. Adventure: I love exposing myself to new and exciting things! I never want to stop learning and what better way is there to learn than through new experiences. It is also important to me that I don't let my life get stagnant; I enjoy challenging myself and facing my fears (like my fear of falling). Honesty: I am honest to the point that sometimes it gets me in trouble. No one benefits from a lie, I want the people in my life to feel trusted and secure. Where will I get in life if I am not honest with myself and others? Gratitude: When I take the time to appreciate my situation and surroundings life is so much more rich. Also, gratitude helps me recognize my privileges and makes me want to help others. WHAT ARE MY GOALS? Short term: I want to lead climb an outdoor 5.12. Long term: I want to start a sustainable fashion empire (probably activewear) and once I am successful, I want to use my success to help women in need. |
